As you traverse the 65 kilometers in about two hours, you’ll be mesmerized by the picturesque views. Upon arrival, settle into your hotel and prepare for an evening of discovery. Visit the majestic Tashichho Dzong, where you can admire its impressive architecture from the outside, and then take a leisurely stroll through the charming streets of Thimphu town. The night will be spent in the comfort of your Thimphu hotel.

The next day is dedicated to exploring the cultural and historical treasures of Thimphu. After a hearty breakfast, visit the towering Kuensel Phodrang, home to a magnificent Buddha statue, and the serene Hindu Temple National. Continue your journey to the Memorial Chorten, a revered monument, and the Takin Reserve Park, where you can see Bhutan’s unique national animal. A short hike will take you to Wagdi Tse Lhakhanag, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Immerse yourself in Bhutanese culture at Simply Bhutan, and in the afternoon, visit the Nunnery, BBS Tower, Folk and Heritage Museum, National Library, and the bustling Centenary Farmer Market. On the third day, bid farewell to Thimphu and head to Paro. Along the way, enjoy the serene riverside views and stop at Bonday Zangthophelri and the Airport View. In Paro, explore the Ta Dzong, a national museum housing an impressive collection of arts, relics, and religious thangka. As you drive the 35 kilometers to the pass, you’ll be captivated by the breathtaking landscapes and scenic beauty. After enjoying the panoramic views from Chele-La-Pass, return to Paro for an evening of cultural immersion. Try on traditional Bhutanese dress and explore the local shops in town. Alternatively, you can spend the day visiting the iconic Taktsang Monastery, also known as “Tiger’s Nest,” and, if time permits, the historic Drukgyel Dzong. Your final night will be spent in Paro, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences of your journey.
