Itinerary

Meet and Greet on arrival at NJP Train Station / IXB Airport and transfer to Phuentsholing. It is a thriving commercial centre on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. On arrival check in at the hotel.Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.

After breakfast complete the immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. On arrival check in at the hotel. In the evening the TashichhoeDzongOuter view (Fortress of the Glorious Religion). Overnight stay at Thimphu.

After breakfast visit outer view   KuenselPhodrang (Buddha Statue) , Hindu Tempel ,Outer view of  National Memorial Chorten (Monument) and  Wagdi tseLhakhanag ( short hike of 40 mins ) Simply Bhutan  . Afternoon visit Nunnery ,BBS Tower ,  National Library , Centenary Farmer Market ( Handicraft product and Local product can be Found here . Craft Bazar for shopping   can be seen here. Overnight stay at Thimphu

After breakfast drive to Punakha / Wangdue, on the way Stop at Dochu-La-Pass (3150 mts.), during clear days you will get a chance to see Himalayan mountain ranges of Bhutan. After noon visit Punakha Dzong( entry fee 1000 )built in 1637 by ZhabdrungNgawangNamgyal. For many years until the time of the second king, it served as the seat of the Government. The Dzong was named PungthangDechenPhodrang (Palace of Great Happiness). Punakha is still the winter residence of monastic body. After that take a short hike to visit the KhamsumyulleyNamgyalChorten - The Temple, also known as  replica of National Memorial chorten  was built by HM The queen Mother  AshiTsheringYangdon  ( short hike of uphill  30 mins ) and on way back vistSuspension bridge , Evening free for leisure.  Over night stay at Punakha .

After breakfast, start for full day excursion trip to Gangtey (3000mts.). Gangtey is the home of Black Necked Crane which migrates from the arid plains of Tibet in the north. It is a beautiful valley of Bhutan. You can also visit GangteyGompha. Evening return back. Overnight stay at Punakha Wangdue.

After breakfast drive to Paro and on the way visit near river sideand drive BondayZangthophelri, Airport View, Ta Dzong – National Museum  with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangka. RinpungDzong(  outer view )  - Meaning "fortress of the heap of jewels" Evening Leisure   .Overnight stay at Paro.  

 After breakfast excursion trip to Chele-La-Pass – the highest motorable road in Bhutan. Enjoy the scenic beauty and memorable landscapes from Chele-La-Pass. Back to Paro. And Evening  Try Bhutanese Traditional  Dress  and Shopping at Town. Overnight stay at Paro

Paro Sightseeing After breakfast visit Taktsang Monastery - called “Tiger's Nest” and later if time permits visit DrukgyelDzong. Overnight stay will be at Paro.

After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Phuentsholing. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing. Day 8: Phuentsholing – NJP Train Station / IXB Airport

After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to NJP Train Station / IXBAirport for departure

Do Indians need permit for Bhutan ?

Yes Indians Need permit and will be arranged by travel agent only

What are the docunments required for Indians & Foreigners ??

For Indians: Valid Passport or Voter Id for adults. For Children Birth Certificate & School Both Required.

For Foreigner : Valid Passport before 6 months of validity & visa is required

What is the best time to visit Bhutan

  • Peak Season: March to June and September to December
  • Off-Peak Season: July to August (monsoon season) and December to February (winter season)

Do they accept credit card ?

Yes International credit card are accepted but not in all places only in 4 star & above hotels . Shops they will not accept it.

What about internet access?

Yes. The Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. The Internet in SIkkim Darjeeling is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/agency ?

Yes It is necessary to have Guide  & Agency as all the process has to be done from agency only for Indians & Foreigners both

How much taxes do guest have to pay ?

For Indians : Rs. 1200 per night per head 

For Foreigners  : USD 100 per night per head
